Builder's Remedy Roundup: Newsom Weighs In On Beverly Hills Dispute

Gov. Gavin Newsom has weighed in on a Beverly Hills housing dispute, saying that the city’s denial of a 165-unit apartment building proposed by developer Leo Pustilnikov in a builders remedy application is a violation of state law. Apparently Beverly Hills thought it was in the clear because the denial came the day after the Department of Housing & Community Development approved the city’s housing element.
