SB 79 -- the new state law that mandates midrise housing near major transit stations -- goes into effect on July 1. And cities have a lot of options, including using delay tactics (https://www.cp-dr.com/post/l-a-invokes-sb-79-delay-tactic) and creating alternative plans.

Meanwhile, MPOs like the Southern California Association of Governments and Metropolitan Transportation Commission have published draft maps showing which station areas will require the SB 79 treatment.
