The Assistant Director for Planning acts as the Zoning Administrator and oversees the Planning Division which consists of team of 23 staff and budget of approximately $5.9 million.

The ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge and a sophisticated understanding of planning and development functions in the public sector. They will be energized by working on complex projects in a fast-paced, high-volume department and supportive environment. Successful candidates will have six years of professional public sector experience in urban planning, with two years in a managerial capacity that includes supervision. Bachelor’s degree required. A master’s + AICP certification preferred.
